Sara Benn believes you can have your cake and eat it too. The owner of elevate barre and cycle says it’s all about balance. “The studio developed as a place for community members to get that piece of cake while balancing other aspects of life.”
A balancing act between responsibilities and carving out “me time,” elevate is a community-driven studio offering two specialty programs: indoor cycling and barre.
“Our clients are energized by community action,” says Sara. “There is a sense of camaraderie and individuality.” In addition to bringing people together, elevate has helped to raise money for Global Lyme Disease and Pedal for Cancer.
A self-described fitness enthusiast, Sara juggle(s) multiple roles: mother, wife, and insurance professional. “My day starts at 5am teaching a spin class or two, then I’m off to managing commercial accounts. After work, I go back to elevate to teach.
My day begins and ends with a few classes.” Aside from being goal focused, Sara is career focused. She’s soon launching a third fitness specialty, TRX, to elevate. “What we do physically can be very transformative into our daily lives.”
