Leading Ladies 2020: Sandra Cutting

Tax Reform Specialist

Posted

Sandra Cutting, the owner of the Wakefield office of H&R BLOCK, actually looks forward to the challenge of preparing taxes. “I enjoy offering peace of mind to clients,” Sandra explains. “Life changes – such as a marriage, divorce, birth of a child, buying a home, starting a business, selling property – have implications for your tax return. Seeking professional guidance, especially if you had such an event last year, ensures you are getting all the benefits for your particular tax situation,” she says. This is especially true this year, as many of the provisions of the The Tax and Jobs Act of 2017 have into effect. “Tax reform impacts virtually everyone this year. A personal consultation will help clients see how these changes will affect them.”

Sandra has a Master of Science in Accounting from URI, is a certified financial planner and is an enrolled agent (EA). As an EA, she completes 32 hours of continuing professional education every year to stay current on tax laws and their impact for her clients. A friendly woman with an easy laugh, Sandra is committed to her community and profession. She served as the first woman president of the Wakefield Rotary Club and has taught accounting at RWU as an adjunct professor.

In addition to Sandra, there are ten trained tax professionals in the Wakefield H&R Block office. “We’re a great team, and looking forward to helping people this tax season.”
