Sons of Liberty Spirits Company

Mike Reppucci, founder of South Kingstown’s Sons of Liberty Spirits Company, utilizes his 3,100 square foot space to craft three superb whiskies: Uprising Single Malt, Battle Cry Single Malt and Sons of Liberty Seasonal Release, which is currently a Summer Release Hop Flavored Whiskey.

After launching his first product in December of 2011, Mike has been working full steam ahead to grow his brand. “There really is no average day,” Mike explains. “No matter what I have on my to do list, there are always four other things that need to get addressed that day.”

Recently, Sons of Liberty has earned international acclaim. “We have been blessed to have the people of Rhode Island support us from day one,” the founder-distiller says. “And in the last few weeks we have won three really cool awards that we’d like to share with our fans.”

Sons of Liberty Seasonal - Winter Release Pumpkin Spice Whiskey - was voted “World’s Best Flavored Whiskey” by Whiskey Magazine at their World Whiskey Awards in London; Sons of Liberty Seasonal - Summer Release Hop Flavored Whiskey - was awarded a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition; Battle Cry Single Malt won a gold medal and “Best in Category” for single malt whiskeys at the American Distiller Institute awards ceremony.

If you’d like to sample the distillery’s liquid gold just stop by for a tour and tasting every Wednesday and Saturday from 12-4pm. Tours start every half hour and cost just $10, which includes a tasting glass. You can also visit their website for an extensive list of area bars and liquor stores that carry their products.
