T's Restaurant If there is one thing our readers should know about us, it’s that we know how to eat. We certainly knew how to eat the pumpkin pancakes sent to us by T’s. They were eight-inch rounds, a golden pumpkin color, topped with homemade pumpkin butter, pure maple syrup and powdered sugar. Moist, light and not overly “pumpkiny,” kudos need to be given to the spiced, sweet butter in particular. As one staffer said, “I want to put that butter on everything.” 91 Pt. Fresh Ground Oh my word, these cupcakes were amazing. Fresh out of the fridge, the cream cheese frosting was smooth and oh-so-satisfying, its sweetness the perfect complement to the dense pumpkin cake. We agreed that the cake tasted more like pumpkin bread – sort of like a muffin with frosting. With whimsical piping (and perfectly suited to an Alice in Wonderland tea party table), this cupcake is definitely worth the calorie splurge. 93 Kingstown Road, Richmond. 491-9035

Felicia's Coffee This coffee shop sent us pumpkin muffins drizzled with a white icing that was yummy and not overly sweet. The muffin was moist and had hints of cinnamon and spice. It reminded us of coffee cake. We enjoyed the texture, the grains and the simplicity of the breakfast treat, which left us wanting more. As one staffer put it: “I could eat a lot of these. They taste healthy – in a good way.” 5757 Post Road, East Greenwich. 886-4141

Great Harvest Bread Co. We were hoping that somebody would send us something with chocolate in it and Great Harvest met our expectations with their chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. They reminded us of chocolate chip pancakes, with a dense cake and dark chocolate chips. (Dark chocolate means healthy, right?) There was a pleasant balance between the pumpkin and the chocolate, the savory and the sweet. 6670 Post Road, North Kingstown. 885-0580
