Help Us Plant 100 Trees in Miantonomi Park!
October 30th & 31st, 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM each day.
Join the Newport Tree Conservancy, for a two-day reforestation effort to plant 100 native trees in Miantonomi Park, Newport’s largest forest.
For more than seven years, we’ve been working to restore this important forest, where invasive plants currently cover roughly 80% of the mature forest and prevent native trees from regenerating naturally.
Now, we’re ready to dig in. Help us plant 100 native and climate-resilient trees and give Miantonomi’s forest a stronger future.
All volunteers receive a custom “I Planted 100 Trees in Miantonomi Park” T-shirt!
Halloween costumes are welcome! Come dressed up and make tree planting a little more festive.
Newport Health Equity Zone residents can also receive a $25 Stop & Shop gift card.
Tools and gloves provided.
Come for one day or both, every tree makes a difference!
Registration is required. Help us plant for the future!
