John graduated from St. Michael’s College with a Master’s Degree is Clinical Psychology and currently resides in Wakefield. In 2008, he founded Middlebridge School in Wakefield, which is a coeducational residential high school for students with learning disabilities, presently serving 32 students. The school attracts talented and experienced educators, students and families from across the country to the South County area. Since the school’s inception, John has overseen the Lighthouse Internship program, a program that partners with more than half a dozen local businesses helping students receive valuable on-the-job experience from members of the community. An ex-officio member of the school’s Board of Trustee’s, John oversees Admissions and Development for the school as well as serving on visiting committees for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. John has recently overseen an agreement to purchase the historic Hazard Castle in Narragansett as the future home of Middlebridge School. Under John’s leadership, Middlebridge School will utilize this beautiful and valuable historical site while restoring the 19th century castle.
John is an organizer for an annual fundraiser for Hospice Care and the ALS Association, including the Annual Walk for ALS and the Evening of Hope.
John and his wife, Laurie, live in Wakefield with their daughters Maya Rose, 3, and Abigail, 2 months, and their two black labs.
