Leading Ladies 2018: Brenda Dimon & Lindsay List

Posted

Over the past two years, Aqua Salon & Spa has been building a reputation as a beauty destination in North Kingstown. Owner Brenda Dimon has put together a team of stylists who are creative and highly skilled, and she puts an emphasis on education for herself and her team - which only makes sense, as Brenda spent years traveling as a hair color educator before
opening the salon.

“We celebrate grace and elegance,” Brenda says, “and we believe beauty is in the details.” Everyone in the salon welcomes guests, and listens to their requests. In addition to men’s, women’s and children’s cuts, Aqua offers extensive hair color options like full foil, corrective color, and ombre services like ombre, sombre (a softer ombre) and molten ombre (a combination of highlights and balayage with a glaze). They also offer hair extensions for length and volume, keratin and brazilian straightening.

Lindsay List, a skin therapist at Aqua, has recently been promoted to Salon Manager. She has a strong background in education, regularly traveling to Boston and New York for classes in the newest techniques and technology. As a skin therapist, she performs therapeutic facial and body care, with a strong understanding of key body systems and skin biology. “My passion is to educate my guests on how to care for their skin long term,” Lindsay says. The spa provides a range of non-medical face, body and relaxation treatments, as well as lash and brow treatments, nail services, and eyelash extensions.

“We believe in sustainable beauty,” Brenda says. To that end, they use nourishing products like Eprouvage, Moroccan Oil, Dermalogica and R+Co. “We really care about people,” she adds. “We want to make you look and feel beautiful.”
