The Caucasian Chalk Circle by German iconoclast Bertolt Brecht is brought to the stage by URI's Theater department. The anti-fascist play, written at the end of World War II, covers family, law, justice, parenthood and more before asking the audience, "Whose side are you on?" Brecht's signature distancing is present in full-force for this play, destroying the comfort and distance between audience and performer in order to inspire a larger conversation about politics both in and outside of the theater. December 13. 3pm. $12 for students, $20 general. 105 Upper College Road, Kingston. 874-5843. More info...
