Looking to welcome a new furry friend into your home? Adopt, don’t shop! Shelters around South County and across the state have dogs and cats ready to find their forever homes. Here are three pets ready to meet you, or reach out to the shelters to learn about even more adoptees.

If you have been thinking of adopting or if you know of an animal in need, please contact Karen Kalunian directly at animaltalk1920@gmail.com.

Banjo

Husky lovers, meet Banjo! He has sparkling blue eyes and a big smile with a personality to match. This three-year-old Husky/Malamute mix likes to “voice his opinion,” in true Husky fashion, and gets along with other dogs who appreciate his high-energy play style – just no kitties. Make an appointment with the shelter to see if you and Banjo make lovely music together!

Sylvie

This young tabby-and-white patterned kitten is hoping that you’ll choose her to be your forever feline friend! Sylvie’s irresistible tiny pink nose and golden green eyes will have you falling in love at first sight, and her energetic personality and constant purring will light up the life of whoever takes this kitty home.

Bruce

Bruce is a lovable young boy who’s full of life. At just six months old, this pitbull-mix with a luscious shiny coat will likely be a medium to large dog once fully grown. He loves everyone he meets, both doggie and human visitors, and is great with children. His fun-loving personality is contagious – everyone is Bruce’s friend!
