In the heart of Wakefield, Kosmic Kitty is sandwiched between Phil’s Restaurant and South County Bread Company, and across the street from Brickley’s.
Not your typical clothing boutique, this spot lives up to the “Kosmic” part of its name with tarot card readings, herbal talks, and metaphysical merch like crystal pendants. In their collection of clothing, there’s a little bit of something for everyone – and every season – from breezy skirts made with Italian linen to hats and scarves from Scotland, not to mention the variety of local art and clothing vendors featured. Though coming from a background in nursing, opening a shop that inspires creativity was always Catherine Hanson’s dream, and with the support of friends and the community, Kosmic Kitty was born. Hanson has fostered a space around helping customers find the perfect piece. “The intention is to make a connection with the customer and to meet them where they are and help them feel safe and cared for,” she says. Hanson loves to hear visitors leave happy with their purchase saying, “I never would’ve tried that on!”
