Michelle oversees a successful retail business at Zoe & Co. in Westerly and Concord, NH and is active in both communities. She is a leader and mentor to the company employees, taking on a myriad of roles in the business including advertising, marketing, bookkeeping, and ordering. She is known nationally in the lingerie industry for her professionalism and attention to detail, as well as her knowledge and willingness to learn. She has given presentations on bra-fitting in community and private forums and was recently a guest lecturer at URI speaking on the topic of entrepreneurship for students studying Fashion and Business. She has been interviewed on local and national television stations as an expert in her field. She served on a panel in New York City judging lingerie manufacturers for an international publication, and was an award presenter at the event.
Despite her commuter schedule and extensive work responsibilities, she is immersed in community service activities. Michelle serves as the youngest President of the Board of Directors in the history of the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Area Chamber of Commerce. She is the moving force and founding member of the Westerly-Pawcatuck Young Professionals Network. Through this initiative, she inspires more than 70 young professionals to expand their networking and to make a difference in their community by volunteering their time to community service. She volunteers for Virtu Art Festival, Pawcatuck River Duck race, Brews & Blues event, and the ATHENA Scholarship Committee for six years. As an active member of the Westerly Lions for four years, and present board member, she runs the wine tasting event and volunteers for Picnic for the Blind, White Cane Day, the Blood Drive and more. She volunteers for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center Hunger Task Force and supports the backpack program that provides food for needy children on weekends. She delivers food baskets to the needy for the holidays as well.
