Mia’s Prime Time Café is a charming restaurant that serves fresh, American eats, from classic breakfast items to tasty sandwiches and salads to comfort food for dinner. The cafe is located in the heart of the downtown Westerly-Pawcatuck community, a friendly and quaint waterfront village that attracts both locals and tourists. For over 15 years, the location was a popular breakfast joint. In the spring of 2014 the restaurant took on new ownership and a modern renovation, along with an instant following.

Mia’s doesn’t take a single shortcut. Everything is made from scratch, from classic white bread and desserts to scones and muffins handcrafted with seasonal and local fruit are just a sampling of the baked goods made daily. Breakfast is still a favorite here, and it’s served daily from 7am to 3pm. Classics like eggs Benedict, omelets, breakfast sandwiches and Mia’s own oatmeal are offered, as well as creative spins on eggs and French toast. Epicurean extras like pure maple syrup, homemade raspberry sauce and freshly baked cornbread offer gourmet finishing touches. The all day menu, which starts at 11am, features a huge selection of homemade soups, pasta, burgers, sandwiches and steaks. Healthy and gluten-free options are also available, along with entrée salads, fresh seafood and house-made chicken and turkey burgers. Pasta Thursday, available after 12 noon, offers an unbelievably priced and portioned special, with a three-course dinner for $13. The creative cuisine is paired perfectly with unique, hard to find craft beers and a variety of wines and a full bar. With a view of the Connecticut side of the Pawcatuck River and the lively downtown area, a meal at Mia’s Prime Time Café is a delightful experience.
