March 21: The Art of Race, a series of dialogues exploring the racial history of the contemporary art collection at RISD Museum, co-hosted by The Center for Reconciliation.

March 21-23: The Phantom of the Opera makes a special appearance at PPAC, bringing with it a reinvented stage and set design. Follow this tragic, dark story of unrequited love in the Paris Opera House.

March 21-31: The Narragansett Chamber of Commerce invites Rhode Islanders to the Narragansett Area Restaurant Week, running from March 22- 31, with the Kick-Off Party taking place on March 21 at The Narragansett Towers. Each year, local restaurants offer special prix fixe menus to sample some of their most popular fare for reasonable prices. The cuisines are eclectic, ranging from standard American bistro to Asian-inspired meals.

March 22-April 7: The Game’s Afoot takes the stage at Westerly’s Granite Theatre, a play that follows a Broadway star who assumes his former role as Sherlock Holmes to solve a series of murders. 

March 23: Learn what you can do as an individual to lower your carbon footprint at the Spring into Energy forum, hosted by the Audubon Society of RI and Green Energy Consumers Alliance. Find out more about clean energy, transportation, and policy from experts across the state. 

March 23: Attend RWU Dance Theatre’s Junior/Senior Showcase, featuring a selection of original solo, duet, and trio choreography produced by upperclassmen. 

March 23: Get your appetite ready for the 3rd Annual New England Craft Beer, Wine & Food Festival at Twin River Casino Hotel. Enjoy sampling craft beer and wine from around the world, as well as a variety of tasty eats and sweets, plus live entertainment, seminars, cooking demonstrations and much more!

March 23: Head on over to The Love + Harmony Benefit Concert at Newport’s Casino Theatre, a fundraiser to help support Common Fence Music in continuing to bring renowned folk & world music performances and educational programs to Aquidneck Island and the East Bay. Enjoy the sounds of local folk music from a wide array of artists while helping support a great cause.  

March 23-25: Festival Ballet’s chatterBOXtheatre adapts the classic Three Little Pigs into a delightful, abridged version for little ones to enjoy at the FBP Black Box Theatre in Providence.

March 24: It’s the first-ever Aquidneck 10k, a run alongside the beautiful coastal scenery and around a wildlife refuge. Proceeds benefit the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown.
