Now-February 10: Roald Dahl’s sugary sweet classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, appears at PPAC for a fun, family-friendly performance, featuring your favorite tunes like “The Candy Man” and your favorite characters like Willy Wonka. Make sure to get your golden ticket.

Now-February 10: Based on Homer’s epic, Trinity Rep’s An Iliad continues the classic journey, tales of mythical gods and goddesses, war, and human chaos recounted by a lone storyteller.

Thursdays, All Month Long: It’s time to shine at Wakefield Idol 2019, the karaoke-style singing competition at the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield. Cast your vote for your favorite local singer.

February 7: Exactly one week before Valentine’s Day, join Field of Artisans at Whalers Brewing Company in South Kingstown, and prepare to give your love (or yourself) a locally made, one-of-a-kind gift this Valentine's Day! Enjoy a wide selection of handcrafted, artisan made items while sipping delicious craft brew.

February 8: The Top 40 artist Trippie Redd brings rap and trap music to The Strand, with openers including Coi Leray and special guests. The artist is best known for his collaboration with Julia Michaels in the song “Jump,” and his recent single “Topanga.”

February 8: Head to Tiverton and join Sandywoods during Winter Songfest, a day of live folk music featuring solo showcases by three veteran songwriters: Louis Leeman, Lara Herscovitch, and Chuck Williams.

February 8: Frostbite Bash 2019 boasts open bars, food tastings, music, silent auctions, and a photo booth in the historic Hall of Boats in Bristol. It’s never too cold to celebrate the sea in the Ocean State.

February 8: Cozy up to a three course meal with select wine pairings at three exquisite Newport restaurants, including Thames Street Kitchen, Midtown Oyster Bar, and Bar and Board Bistro during the Newport Winter Foodies Stroll. February 10: Boston group Receita de Samba introduces classic Brazilian jazz to the Community Concert Series at St. Michael’s Church in Bristol. Featuring a mix of Samba, Bossa Nova, and jazz performed with vocals, piano, bass, drums, and percussion.

Now-March 10: At IMAGO Foundation for the Arts in Warren, see featured mixed-media artist Howard Windham exhibiting with guest contemporary artist Linda Behar.
