October 18: Fancy some butterbeer? Stop by Wizarding Night at the Zoo! Buy a ticket for the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular and Harry Potter fans are in for a sweet treat. There will be chocolate frogs, and yes, butterbeer, in addition to the usual jack-o-lantern festivities. Witch and wizardly costumes encouraged.

October 18: Experience the ultimate scares in the perfect setting when Dreadphile Cinema Club celebrates the 50th anniversary of Night of the Living Dead at the Rustic Drive-In. Catch the influential 1968 original followed by the 1990 remake.

October 18-19: Keep calm, it’s time to do the time warp again. Classic movie junkies should head to the Greenwich Odeum for RKO Army’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, an interactive event featuring a performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”


October 19: Head on over to Newport Vineyards for Barrel of Laughs: Brendan Eyre. This up-and-coming NY comedian is known for his appearances on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, and for being co-host of the podcast Rad Dudecast.

October 20: Enjoy fun for all ages in Pawtucket with The Guild’s Pumpkins, Pints, and Bountiful Bites, featuring a bounce house, games, music, food trucks, face painting, and lots of beer. 

October 20: Check out a Halloween celebration that brings the heat, with artists pouring over 2,500 pounds of gleaming, molten iron at the Steel Yard's annual Halloween Iron PourEnjoy musical performances by Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores, the Eastern Medicine Singers, DJ Unkle Thirsty, fire dancers, art sales, and more. 

October 20-21: Artists in the West Bay open their studios for the 10th Annual West Bay Open Studios Event. This free, self-guided tour includes stops in East Greenwich, Exeter, and North Kingstown. Chat with the makers about their creative process and purchase any of their fine art, from watercolor and photography to stained glass and jewelry.

October 21: Fall makes the perfect weather for a run, and why not make that run for a good cause? The Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run & Walk invites racers of all speeds to experience the 4-mile run/walk over the bridge connecting Jamestown and Newport. All proceeds go to local nonprofits.

October 21: Get a chance to experience the best of Warren at the Warren Walkabout. Enjoy open artist studios, specials and sidewalk sales, live music, local fare, and more. 

October 21-28: Looking for a new spot for dinners out? 2018 Fall Westerly Restaurant Week will expand your palate with three course, price fixed meals for both dinner and lunch so you can appreciate the local cuisine offered right in town.
