Westerly Gets a Drive-In Theater this Summer

When it comes to summer, every weekend is a long weekend. (Or at least we like to pretend it is.) Get an early jump on the weekend every weekend through August 29 at the Misquamicut Business Association’s Thursday Nights Drive In at Wuskenau Town Beach. You and your family can enjoy the cool summer breeze and indulge in some popcorn as you re-experience your favorite oldie-but-goodie classics like Grease and Footloose. (You may need to explain to your kids that John Travolta’s dance really was a big deal.) To to the nostalgic experience, you will need to turn your radio to 1620 AM for audio. Some films are rated R, so make sure to check the schedule below before bringing your kids. Located next to the water-slides at 318 Atlantic Avenue, Westerly. Price is $10 per carload.
