2016 WBRU Rock Hunt Finals at the Met

Ham Jam IV
Rhode Island has some pretty great food spots, doesn’t it? It also offers some great local music, right? What if we told you that a bunch of Rhode Island’s culinary masters were brought together to perform for a night of jammin’ music called the Ham Jam? This Sunday at the Met, bands made up of chefs from restaurants around Rhode Island will be performing for your entertainment. This is the fourth annual performance by the all-chef supergroups Turn for the Wurst, and features the DBCs, Smith & Weeden and the Little Compton Band. Harlem Globetrotters 90th Anniversary Tour
Celebrating 90 years of world-famous entertainment, the Harlem Globetrotters will be featured on the Dunkin’ Donuts Center court this Sunday to perform incredible basketball entertainment, sign autographs and take photos with fans. Known as the Ambassadors of Goodwill, the roster for this game features Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Thunder Law, and even a few female stars like TNT Maddox and Sweet J Ekworomadu, among other players. Antigone at URI’s Providence Campus
As part of Women’s History Month, URI is collaborating with OUT LOUD Theatre to present an original adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone. OUT LOUD is using the play in order to examine its relevance to the world of today. The production also compliments URI’s current art exhibit, titled “Women Having Their Say.” Antigone follows the story of the titular character fighting against her newly crowned Uncle Creon, in a story about strength, morality and law. Third Annual LoveCraft Wedding Show
