Badfish at Lupo’s
20 years ago, Sublime released their third and final album, titled Sublime, which featured a range of hits like “What I got,” “Santeria” and “Doin’ Time.” This weekend, as a tribute to Sublime, Rhode Island-based tribute band Badfish will be performing at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel. This performance, part of Badfish’s “Doin’ Time” tour, will see Badfish performing the Sublime album in its entirety. That’s just, well, sublime. Friday. $15-$20. 79 Washington Street, Providence. LEGENDS is a circus event featuring the most skilled circus masters around the world, daredevils, and incredible performers. Snuff Box Exhibit at the Gilbert Stuart and Birthplace Museum
With the prominence of “vape culture,” your knowledge of the history of recreational drugs might not be up to snuff. If that’s the case, you’re invited to attend the Gilbert Stuart Birthplace and Museum’s exhibition, “Are We Up to Snuff?” The exhibition showcases a number of snuff boxes from a private collection, storyboards on the history of tobacco and snuff, and even contains photographs of snuff mills from the 1930s. 18th Annual Duck Race

Imagine this: one of those large, CAT earth-moving trucks pulls up to the edge of the Pawcatuck River. In the truck, there are 20,000 rubber ducks. The truck then dumps all of this ducks into the river. Now, I assure you that this is a real thing that happens, for its 18th year, it’s happening this Saturday at the Pawcatuck River. The Annual Duck Race is done in order to raise money for over 40 local schools, charities and organizations. There are also a number of prizes for people who participate, including $2,500 in cash and a trip for four to Disney World. Ain’t that ducky? Saturday. Free. 1 Chamber Way, Westerly. More info… 

Forever Young at the Courthouse Center for the Arts
Looking for more tribute band awesomeness? Forever Young, a tribute band that performs the music of Neil Young, will be at the Courthouse Center for the Arts this Saturday. Forever Young does not try to imitate Neil himself, but rather they try to perform their own interpretations of Young’s music. Some say that this band is even “better than the real thing.” That’s a pretty huge recommendation when you think about it, and it might be worth your while to check out these talented Rhode Islanders. Opening Day at the Herreshoff Marine Museum
Throughout the winter, the Herreshoff Marine Museum has been preparing all new exhibits for your viewing pleasure. Come see the all new Hall of Boats, tour the museum, and grab some grub from a few great food and drink vendors including Acacia Café, Revival Brewing Company, and Angelina’s Coffee. The best part? Juried Senior Show at SRU
Ah, the end of the spring semester. That means loads of senior events and a bunch of graduating students who have a lot to show for their time in school. If you’re looking to give those students the recognition that they deserve, considering going to Salve Regina University’s Juried Senior Show, where the work of 14 artists in graphic design, paitning, drawing, illustration, photography, and communication technology will be showcasing their work.
