If you’re looking for two days of non-stop music and food, look no further than Rock the Block 2016. With headliners like Trapt, 12 Stones, DRB, Livewire and tons of local bands, this festival is sure to be packed with awesome music. 10th Annual Newport Antiques Show
Antiques have a way of inspiring nostalgia as they give us a look at life in the past. However, the Newport Antique Show demonstrates that antiques can also tell us a lot about the present, and even the future. Their 2016 theme is Curating the Future: Trends in Collecting Today, and the exhibition will demonstrate how the practice of collecting “curiosities” has changed over time. South County Hot Air Balloon Festival
The annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival touches down this weekend to let you soar into the sky in a hot air balloon. 9th Annual Pettaquamscutt Paddle
In the summertime, there is nothing better than spending a day around or on the water, especially here in RI. This weekend, you can do just that at the 9th Annual Pettaquamscutt Paddle, where you’ll kayak along Narragansett’s Narrow River. Deer Tick Documentary at NewportFILM
You’ve probably heard of RI’s homegrown rock band, Deer Tick, but you might not know everything about them. Straight Into a Storm will weave through many of their performances and cover the last ten years of their career.
