Posted

All Weekend: ‘Tis the season, and Trinity Rep is kicking it off with the opening of its 40th annual production of A Christmas Carol. Joe Wilson Jr. takes the helm as cantankerous Ebenezer Scrooge and though we all know the story by heart, the thrill is seeing how Trinity Rep always manages to do something new with it.

November 16: Catch the last Gallery Night of the season before the Art Bus takes its long winter’s nap. Galleries stay open late and offer new ways to interact with local art. Spoiler alert: it’s with wine.

November 17: Relive rock’s glory days at Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash at The Greenwich Odeum. The showcase of Southern rock and blues legends will take you all the way back to 1956.

November 17: Feel all the feels at Shakespeare’s tragedy of star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet, performed at Roger Williams University.

November 17: Face Crimes of the Heart at 2nd Story Theatre in Warren. The Pulitzer Prize–winning comedy centers on three estranged sisters sorting out their complicated past and moving towards a better future.

November 18-19: Narragansett Beer is turning its Made on Honor video series into a real life market this weekend at The Guild in Pawtucket. Celebrate independent local businesses at the Made on Honor Market – two whole days of quirky shopping alongside tasty suds and smoked goodness from Durk’s Bar-B-Q.

November 18–19: Turn Christmas on its head at Cirque Dreams Holidaze at PPAC. The Broadway show features singing, dancing and extraordinary acrobatics, as well as 300 costumes – a week’s worth of clothing in Lady Gaga time.

November 19: Forget that it’s before Thanksgiving, just for one night, at the Christmas Snow Ball. The gala at Bristol’s DeWolf Tavern will have cocktails, gourmet fare, a holiday auction and live music.
