Friday
This is food truck weather, and they're rolling into Roger WIlliams Park for Food Truck Fridays. Dig into some of the tastiest food on four wheels, grab a cold one from Trinity Brewhouse and let the young ones (and the young at heart) take a few loops around the carousel. More info...

Saturday
It's officially the start of beach season. As of Saturday, all state beaches will be open seven days a week. Make sure your car’s always got the essentials in the trunk (towels, sunblock, trashy paperback) and get ready to soak up the sun.

If you need reassurance that summer’s practically here, then get down to WaterFire. This weekend’s full lighting is sure to get you thinking warmer thoughts – and not just about all of those open flames on the river. More info...

The World War II Foundation debuts its latest documentary, D-Day: Over Normandy, at The Vets. Made up of archival footage from 1944 and aerial photography, the film offers a new perspective on this pivotal moment in history and is narrated by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich will be on hand to host and moderate a Q&A with the director, Tim Gray, and a veteran of D-Day. More info...

Sunday
The problem with running is that it doesn’t always come with a beer at the end. Not true when you get your jog on with Bucket Brewery. Their weekly meetup happens at their Pawtucket brewery and is a 3- to 5-mile run through Pawtucket and Blackstone Boulevard. The reward for getting up early on a Sunday to exercise? A free 12oz pour. All Weekend
The Gaspee Arts and Crafts Festival is setting up along the Red, White and Blue lined Narragansett Parkway in Pawtuxet Village. See the work of talented local artists, grab a delicious bite and catch some live musical performances. More info...

For a dose of laughter, make your way to Comedy Connection, where native Rhode Islander Brian Beaudoin is taking center stage. When a comedian is billed as being bigger than his home state, you should probably raise your expectations. More info...

Turning 125 is a big deal – what better way to celebrate than with an art festival?
