Finally, there is some beautiful weather to start off the much desired spring season. Get your wagons and gardening gloves ready and make your way to the University of Rhode Island for the annual East Farm Spring Festival on May 10, at the university’s own East Farm in Kingston from 9am-2pm.
Not only will there be a huge plant sale, educational vendors and free workshops will be at the event to help you with all your gardening needs. Other family friendly programs include learning activities and crafts, raffles and the South Kingstown Farmers’ Market so you can enjoy all of Rhody’s farmers and small businesses.
The URI Outreach Center and URI Master Gardeners are hosting the free event, with other organizations such as the Rhode Island Blood Center and Indie Cycle, LLC who will be recycling old electronics that attendees bring. You can’t miss out on this ultimate spring festival to kick off the season. Spring has finally sprung!
