General Eclectic

Posted

Housed in an actual antique livery barn, the rush of colors, scents, and sights as you walk in the door will bring a smile to your face. Chock-a-block full of whimsy, the store is stuffed to the brim with items for all ages. Owners Doug and Peggy Yattaw have been here for 48 years and make sure there is plenty of comfort and joy as well as terrific service, including gift wrapping.

Table linens, dinosaurs, pottery, and flying pigs share space with jewelry, clothing, and body care items. Upstairs, it’s Christmas all year long, decorated with unusual ornaments and a Santa for any style. Grab a Yankee Candle and an alpaca blanket for the fall nights ahead. Add a wine glass and a tile coaster and settle in with a specialty soda and a bag of penny candy from the huge candy section.

Plenty of toys and stuffed animals for kids of all ages, home decor, and cozy socks compete for your attention. Art for the garden, soaps for men, hats for women, and wallets and bags abound. Completing your holiday shopping in one place is a breeze. From the small and fun to gorgeous Polish ceramics, there is a price point for everyone. Whether stopping for one piece of candy or an armload of gifts, each trip to Hack & Livery is a treat unto itself.
