Send Summer Off South County Style

Stop by the Narragansett Calamari Cook Off and Summer's End Festival for a proper summer goodbye

Posted

If summer has to come to end (we’re crying too), why not end it in true South County style: with a calamari cook off. During the Narragansett Calamari Cook Off and Summer’s End Festival on September 10, nine area restaurants will face off against each other to see whose calamari reigns supreme. Last year, The Coast Guard House won best overall calamari, but fierce competition is expected this year. The restaurants will be competing in three categories, including best overall, most inventive and most spirited team.

In addition to the competition, the Sunset Farms food truck, Del’s Lemonade, Granny Squibb’s Iced Tea and Simply Natural, will also be at the festival among others. Kid’s activities, a cash bar and live music are also on the agenda. So come one, come all and celebrate the best season in South County, that is until the leaves start changing colors.
