Golden yolked eggs served sunnyside up, pancakes dripping with maple syrup, decadent crispy bacon... no one can deny the allure of breakfast food. Rhode Islanders love morning munchies so much that we have a special May tradition specifically dedicated to the first meal of the day. This month, party with fellow breakfast lovers while supporting a number of good causes at any one of these May Breakfast events.

May Day Breakfast Buffet, May 4
Join The Rhode Island Shriners at the Imperial Room for a May Day breakfast buffet! All your breakfast favorites will be featured. 7:30am-12pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children. 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston. 401-467-7102.

May Breakfast 2014 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, May 3

Education In Action's 5th Annual May Breakfast, May 19
EIA's annual May Breakfast this year honors US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and his efforts towards middle level education in RI. The breakfast takes place at Providence Marriott Downtown at 8am, and tickets cost $50. 1 Orms Street, Providence. 401-272-2400.

Brandi's May Breakfast at Cowesett Inn, May 3
This May breakfast and raffle is in support of Paws New England and PAWS With a Cause. Tickets are $12 in advance. Breakfast takes place from 9-11am. 226 Cowesett Avenue, West Warwick. 401-828-4726.

44th Annual May Breakfast at First Baptist Church, May 3
A wide range of delicious breakfast food will be available at East Greenwich's First Baptist Church's famous annual May Breakfast! Homemade May baskets with fudge or flowers will also be available. 89th Annual May Breakfast at Norwood Baptist Church, May 3

Traditional New England May Breakfast, May 3
Phillips Memorial Baptist Church is hosting a traditional New England May breakfast from 7-10am on May 3rd. Handmade May baskets with cookies and candy will be for sale. Tickets are $8 for adults, and $4 for children. 565 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston. 401-467-3300.

Smith-Appleby House Museum's 41st Annual May Breakfast, May 4
From 11am-1pm educators and history enthusiasts in Colonial dress will treat guests to a traditional May Breakfast. Afterwards, guests are welcome to tour the house and exhibits. Reservations are required. Tickets are $20 per person. 220 Stillwater Road, Smithfield. 401-231-7363.
