“I believe everyone deserves to have a home that reflects their personality and their unique story,” says Dianna Normanton. “I love being an interior designer because design is a creative process and it is exciting to approach each design with a fresh eye and new perspective.”

Dianna, the sole owner of DIANNA NORMANTON INTERIOR DESIGN, offers full service interior design for residential and boutique-style commercial spaces. A creative force within the industry, Dianna has an impressive portfolio of work throughout New England, including Rhode Island, Boston, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. And with a new office in Westerly, Dianna is excited to work closely with new clients in the Ocean State.

With an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and a degree in Interior Design from the New Hampshire Institute of Art, Dianna has a keen eye for composition, space, contrast, and color. She credits her extensive travels for her impeccable sense of style. “I find design inspiration everywhere I go – from Italy and Mexico to the Caribbean and South Africa. I love to bring color, global elements, and a bit of the unexpected into every space I design.”

For Dianna, each new space starts with the client’s goals. Possessing a personable and easy-going manner, Dianna transforms her client’s vision into signature spaces that are layered, beautiful, and personalized. “My approach is to help clients ‘Express Themselves!’ Each design is uniquely theirs,” she explains.

Dianna is passionate about the entire creative design process, from working within her clients’ budgets to overcoming the common fear of using color. “I see color as a natural extension of a client’s singular vision and surroundings, and I love to incorporate color and natural elements through bold statements or subtle accents in all my design projects. Once clients see how color enhances their spaces, they fall in love with color and can’t imagine living without color in their home.”

Dianna’s stunning and trend-setting designs have recently been featured in New England Home and New Hampshire Home magazines. In 2018, Dianna was selected to design a space for the New Hampshire Designer Show House, a month-long exhibit featuring the work of 21 interior designers. The career highlight was very meaningful to Dianna, as all ticket sale proceeds benefited a local hospice.

Dianna frequents the noted Boston Design Center and attends High Point Market in North Carolina to keep up with the latest design trends and products. She is especially committed to using responsibly sourced non-toxic materials to create designs that are not only beautiful but ensures a healthy interior environment.

“I am passionate about interior design and the creative process involved in each project. My approach with each client is to help them ‘Express Themselves’ and design a home they will love to walk into every day!”
