at the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University
Look for an extended run of GOOD GRIEF at Everett Stage in Winter 2019. (Dates TBD)
Everett’s decades of experience working with people suffering from trauma informs a new piece with a new generation of performers.
They bring with them their personal stories and movement styles, and experiences working in schools and youth detention centers. Everett explores how emotions live in the body and how we access them for healing. Humor can be an invaluable lifeline. Good Grief interweaves the science of emotions and trauma, social justice, and human connectedness. Interacting with evocative projections, dioramas and each other, the performers explore life’s pain and joy, bringing the hidden to light. Good Grief will tour with a powerful menu of community engagement opportunities from workshops for youth suffering from trauma to training for artists, clinicians and educators.
