‘Going to Extremes’ at Wingate Residences on the East Side

Wingate Residences on the East Side will welcome travel writer and photojournalist Peter Mandel for his presentation “Going to Extremes” on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. During the presentation, Mandel will present slides of his most extreme adventures, including visiting a city of penguins in the South Pole, fishing for piranhas in Brazil, floating in the Goodyear blimp and camping in the African bush. He will also discuss the power of travel writing in today’s age. Mandel is a correspondent for The Boston Globe, Washington Post and Huffington Post, and has authored ten books based on his travels.
