What’s better than your favorite music? Animals and your favorite music. Join Roger Williams Park Zoo for their “Party for the Planet” event from April 16 to 20. The zoo’s core mission is spreading awareness of the environment by educating children, and Party for the Planet is a celebration of that goal. Every day, a different radio station will set up at the zoo and play music for visitors.

The zoo will also be showing off rainforest animals that are being introduced to the zoo for the summer, such as sloths and a family of Saki Monkeys. The youngest Saki Monkey was born on January 8 of this year, making it only a few months old and thus super adorable.

There will be plenty of other activities for kids to enjoy, including drumming circles, sculpture, and singing. There will also be special appearance by Circus Dynamics, who will be performing and teaching children acrobatic techniques. Ivory Elephant, a clothing organization that donates ten percent of their profits to save elephants, will also make an appearance in support of saving the African Elephant. Kids will also get an opportunity to meet the zoo’s Roger the Red Panda, PawSox mascots Paw and Sox, the New England Revolution Soccer team., and the Cardi Brothers themselves, Nick, Ron, and Pete. Friday will host the park’s first Food Truck Friday of the year at Carousel Village, and will last from 5 PM until 8:30.

Activities are running from 10 AM–3PM and are free with the regular price of admission.
