December 13-20: Enjoy unique holiday gift shopping while supporting local makers during the week-long Nicholson File Artist Studio's 14th Annual Thirsty Holiday Sale. Browse more than 50 local artists and makers, ranging from Frog and Toad to Pretty Snake, with a wide array of handmade products that are quintessentially Providence.

December 13-22: The Contemporary Theater Company showcases its own production of A Christmas Carol. See your favorite characters, Scrooge and Tiny Tim included, as they retell the classic, heartwarming story of a cynical old man who turns his life around – thanks to a few visits from ghosts. 

December 14: It’s bears versus tigers, (oh my!) at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Grab some popcorn and catch the Providence Bruins face off against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. 

December 15: The band Arc Iris was born in Providence, and now they’re back in Little Rhody, with critical acclaim and a strong fan base to boot. Cheer them on as they perform at The Pump House Music Works.

December 15: Bring your sweet tooth to The Baptist Church in Warren, as they host their annual Christmas Cookie Walk, a tasty tradition with handmade, hand-decorated cookies for sale, including yearly favorites like “Ugly Sweater” and “Gingerbread House”. Pick from thousands of cookies, weigh ‘em, buy ‘em, and gift, share, or eat ‘em. 

December 15: The Becky Chace Band covers everything from original songs to Men at Work to Johnny Cash. And for one night, they’ll be gracing the stage at Sandywoods Farm.

December 15: Have fun for the whole family during Christmas at Lippitt HouseLearn about Victorian Christmas traditions, enjoy making decorations and candy-filled Christmas crackers, as well as a holiday-themed tour of Lippitt House Museum. 

December 15-16: Enjoy a spirited family favorite during the The Chorus of Westerly’s Christmas Pops, featuring holiday classics, plus the Pops Festival Orchestra and special guests. Take your seat in the George Kent Performance Hall, outfitted for a Holy Night with hanging gold stars and decorations.

December 15-16: Enjoy artful holiday shopping at the Providence Flea Holiday Market taking place at Hope High School. Browse one-of-a-kind pieces from over 60+ local vendors, from makers and artisans to a variety of vintage offerings. 

December 16: Get ready for a chance to mingle with the Big Man in Red at Westerly’s Weekapaug Inn during Brunch with Santa. Enjoy a dizzying array of buffet and a la carte items, and once you’re too full to brunch any longer, you can take a stroll through the property, overlooking the Quonochontaug Pond and the Atlantic Ocean.

December 16: Chuck Staton and Brad Rohrer of the Chuck and Brad Podcast make the holidays hilarious with their 2nd Annual Christmas Comedy Show at the Comedy Connection, brought to you by RI Food Fights, Warwick Ice Cream Co. and Boneheads Wing Bar. Enjoy standup, improv, and even some crowd participation in this comedy variety show featuring Jessica Leigh, Jeremy Furtado and Derek Furtado.
