Seeking to build a bridge of mutual understanding and friendship, an entrepreneur of Muslim faith decides to reach out to the very people who fear him. Traveling across the U.S. to find Americans concerned about an Islamic threat, Tarek Mounib makes them an intriguing offer... a Free Trip to Egypt. Free Trip to Egypt follows Tarek’s journey to bring Americans of different political affiliations, religious beliefs and ethnicities across the world to Egypt, to broaden world-views and bring people together in kindness. A screening will take place at Providence Place Cinemas 16 & IMAX. Following the screening will be a panel discussion led by ThirdSpace International Founder Wendy Ibrahim, PhD, MA ABS, with Interfaith Counseling Center President Christine King, Muslim American Dawah Center’s Imam Farid Ansari, Paul Cuffee School Teacher Katherine Wilson, Commission of Prejudice and Bias Chair Jodi Glass, Educator Salahah abd al Khaliq, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Estela Rodriguez Jebril, Training and Consulting Diversity Expert Judy Kane, and Pastor Jamie Washam.
