Celebrate the culmination of local culinary expertise at the Eat Drink RI Festival. The four day extravaganza from April 24-27 will include bountiful banquets and informational seminars. All event tickets will include a cocktail (or two), because really, what foodie can survive on food alone. The festivities will kick off on Thursday with a six-course feast crafted by eight of Rhode Island’s top chefs at Gracie’s in Providence. Jonathan Edwards Winery and Revival Brewing Company will be pairing the wine and beer for the evening’s featured dishes. Then, check out the Truck Stop at the Bank of America City Center on Friday and gorge yourself on local beer, wine and a “Jane Dough” from Noble Knots. Over 16 food trucks will deliver a diverse selection of uncommon eats and the bluesy Superchief Trio is sure to get you dancing.
Garnish the weekend with a smooth finish at the Biltmore Hotel, which will be hosting the Grand Tasting on Saturday and the Grand Brunch on Sunday. There will be over 40 local exhibitors at the Grand Tasting. The Food & Drink seminars offered will allow you to relive this delectable dining experience in the comfort of your own home. On Sunday, pamper your palate with mimosas and live jazz overlooking the Providence skyline for the Grand Brunch. Rhode Island Philharmonic is providing the velvety sounds and New Harvest Coffee Roasters will be brewing your morning coffee. A portion of the proceeds will go to the AIDS Project Rhode Island and the RI Philharmonic Foundations in Learning Exploration. $65-$250. Thursday-Sunday. Visit their website for the event schedule and locations.
