Career

A lifelong resident of South Kingstown, Eric earned his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University in Boston. Eric Creamer has been an executive with the Narragansett Council Boy Scouts since 2006 and as a director since the beginning of 2011. In addition to his sales management responsibilities, he serves as staff advisor to the Marketing Committee and Advancement Committee for the Boy Scouts of America. He earned the Professional Training Award in February of 2012 as a Boy Scout Professional, as well as the Centennial Award in 2006, 2008 and 2010. He previously worked as a news reporter with the Westerly Sun, Southern Rhode Island Newspapers, Brockton Enterprise and Memorial Publishing Group. During that time, he won the Spirit of Rhode Island Award in 2004.


Community

Eric’s community involvement includes serving as an assistant wrestling coach at Chariho High School and Braintree High School in Massachusetts. Community volunteer work includes acting as a town-appointed member of the South Kingstown Historic District Commission since 2004 and acting as secretary since 2006. He also helped co-author Lost South Kingstown, a historic research narrative on the town. He is a member of the North Kingstown Rotary Club and was previously a member of the Cumberland-Lincoln Rotary until 2011. In addition, Eric has acted as coordinator for the Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign through his church, as public relations chair with the South Kingstown Republican Party, an Advisory Committee member with the Westerly Young Professionals Network and as a mentor/volunteer for the Ellis School After School program in Madison Park village while in Boston.

Family

Eric is married to wife, Nicole, and has a 2-year-old son, Mitchell, with another son on the way.
