Earth Day Clean-Up: Biscuit City

Posted by SKLandTrust

SKLT is planning an Earth Day Cleanup at our Biscuit City property on Sunday, April 22nd from 9-12. This will be a great opportunity to check out the spring bulbs and flowers and the new trail improvements, while helping to maintain this wonderful "jewel" in the neighborhood. We are planning to focus on the usual invasives (Winged Euonymous, Garlic Mustard, Bull Briar and Japanese Knotweed), and also install a few new native plants. There should be Marsh Marigold, Skunk Cabbage, miniature Narcissus and Virginia Bluebells all in bloom. For those who haven't visited in a while, come view the trail improvements. If the weather cooperates, our beautiful new signs will be up! Bring your gloves, loppers, rakes, shovels, clippers and join with neighbors for a fun morning. We will provide tick spray, but dress appropriately!
