Danielle has been a dedicated employee at McGovern’s Yellow Kittens for over 20 years. Her positive attitude and professional approach to her job has enabled staff members to follow her lead in helping to maintain the success of this business.


Community
Danielle Rose was born on Block Island, then after graduating high school left for college at UNH to study environmental conservation. Upon her return, she immersed herself in community service and quickly earned a reputation as a cheerful, dedicated volunteer with boundless energy. She has served on the board of the Block Island Learning Center for three years and was elected president in November. She organizes a pasta dinner, chairs a summer Toy Boat Race, and works on Fall Motoring Event/Fall Festival. She serves on the Personnel Committee for BILC that hears and deals with grievances from the staff. Danielle is an active member of the Block Island Lions Club, supporting various community projects. She consistently offers time to support fundraisers. She is a volunteer for the Block Island Chamber of Commerce assisting with summer tourists and fundraising events. She is an Easter Bunny Helper, helping fill and deliver baskets to all the homes on the island.
