Take a sip of some of South County's most refreshing cups of joe
Cool Beans Cafe (Narragansett) The strong aroma of fresh-ground coffee hit us before our noses even got close to the cup; there is no mistaking that this coffee is as fresh as it comes. The flavor was heady and robust, with a nice clean finish.
Simon Says (East Greenwich) People rave about this neighborhood coffee shop, and it’s no wonder why. The coffee had floral notes and was light and mild. It’s perfect coffee for people who shy away from dark, bitter roasts as it’s not too strong or overly intense. 96 Main Street, East Greenwich. 884-1965
Beach Rose Cafe (Wickford) With its chocolatey aroma, we were immediately excited about this cup. We were happy with both the smell and the taste. The coffee had a strong flavor but a mellow finish – which is, of course, the best of both worlds.
TLC Coffee Roasters (Narragansett) After operating successfully in West Kingston, TLC recently opened this second location. We were hoping the coffee tasted as good... and it did. The beans were clearly freshly roasted in-house, and the coffee had a nice smooth finish.
