Clam Shack Challenge

Dare to hit all 10 of these can’t-miss seafood spots this summer

Posted

Summer’s here, and all we want to eat is seafood, preferably fried and with a great ocean view. To motivate us all through an indulgent season of flipper-licking food, here’s a checklist of 10(ish) clam shacks we all need to hit this season.

Howard’s Chowder Shack
659 Hartford Pike, North Scituate

Dune Brothers Seafood
239 Dyer Street, Providence

Quito’s
411 Thames Street, Bristol

Blount Clam Shack
335 Water Street, Warren; 684 Bullocks Point, Riverside. (Two locations, one box to check. No bonus points for both, but pat yourself on the back!)

Flo’s Drive In/Flo’s Clam Shack
324 Park Avenue, Portsmouth; 4 Wave Avenue, Middletown. (Two different experiences, one box to check. No bonus points for both, but a tip of the hat for your commitment!)

Monahan’s Clam Shack
190 Ocean Road, Narragansett

Aunt Carrie’s
1240 Ocean Road, Narragansett

Jim’s Dock
1175 Succotash Road, Wakefield.

Iggy’s Doughboys & Chowder House
889 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick. (The Iggy’s in Narragansett – 1151 Point Judith Road – counts for this one, too.)

Lola’s Blue Farm
A food truck, so various locations, but based in Narragansett. (Also it’s gluten-free, meaning it counts as a wild card if you have dietary restrictions. Eat here 10 times to complete the challenge, but please provide a doctor’s note for it to count!)
