Brainwaves has toys for kids and kids at heart

Posted

Robots and art sets and dinosaurs, oh my! Brainwaves Toy Shop has moved to the South County Commons and is bigger and better than ever. New owner Vanessa Paniccia has written four children’s books and is the mother of four kids, ages eight months to seven years, so she has a built-in set of toy testers and her finger on the pulse of children’s interests today.

The store is packed with colorful toys from all genres – some educational and some just for fun – that are inviting and unique. In addition to carrying sets that will inspire the budding scientist or fashion designer, the store also stocks family game classics like Life and Monopoly. Vanessa is expanding the store’s inventory to include more common toy lines like Super Heroes and Barbie, based on requests from her customers.

Creativity and imagination both have a home at Brainwaves. Kits include supplies for painting a masterpiece, building a monster truck and performing magic tricks. The bins full of small novelties are always a hit with the kids. The store has plenty of costumes for dress-up play and puppets to put on a show. During school vacations there are daily events such as arts and crafts, games and readings from Vanessa’s own book series Princess Bing Bong.

Brainwaves makes birthday shopping easy too. This fun and friendly shop provides great, local one-stop shopping for busy parents and grandparents. You can find great gifts for all ages, plus they carry cards and gift-wrap your purchase for free.
