Celebrate Summer all Weekend in RI

June 21: Head on down to the RI Historical Society’s Concert Under the Elms at the John Brown House Lawn, as they kick-off their 22nd season with a performance by the Cajun Hobos, plus slow-smoked eats from the heavy metal food truck Baby’s Bonetown BBQ. 

June 21: Head on down to Main Street in Wakefield for RiverFire, and enjoy a performance by local drummers, live music by Chakulla Smith, a variety of street vendors and participating shops, as well as an “Empty Bowl Stroll” to help aid in the fight against hunger. 

June 21: Bring some popcorn and a blanket to Movies on the Block as they return to Providence, screening the classic film The Big Lebowski at their new Fountain Street location. 


June 21-22: Get your appetite ready for the CVS Health Charity Classic’s CraveRI at The Dunk, and savor tasty bites from over 100 local restaurants, sample an impressive array of beer and wine, and enjoy live demonstrations from top local chefs.

June 21-30: Get a head start on your Fourth of July festivities as the Town of Bristol kicks off their concert series at Independence Park, featuring performances from the RI Army National Guard’s 88th Army Band, Gerry Grimmo and the East Bay Jazz Orchestra, The Eagles Experience, and more. 

June 22: Head on down to Wickford Harbor Lights Night and enjoy illuminated lanterns throughout Wickford village, live music, as well as a variety of participating local shops and restaurants.

June 22: Savor the Southern RI dining scene with a Taste of Summer at the South County Museum and enjoy food from a delicious array of local restaurants, plus fun raffles, games, and a silent auction.

June 22-24: Get ready for a blooming celebration during the Newport Flower Show at Rosecliff Mansion, featuring a special guest appearance by Martha Stewart, a display of tiny homes, one-of-a-kind floral designs, a unique array of vendors, and much more. 

June 22-24: Stop by historic Federal Hill for the annual Summer Festival and enjoy a festive array of participating shops and restaurants, vendors, amusement rides and fun for the whole family. 

June 23-24: Kick-off the summer with the BBQ & Blues Festival at India Point Park featuring performances by renowned blues musicians like Roomful of Blues, Slam Allen, TJay and the Tall Boys, and more, topped off with finger-licking BBQ eats from local vendors. 

June 23-24: Newport celebrates the city's first annual Pride Weekend, featuring a full-costume bicycling Pride Ride, a Drag Brunch at The Parlor, a Pride Festival at Equality Park, and more.
