The public is welcome to come to Ballard Park on Saturday, June 24th from 11 am to 12 noon to learn about butterflies. Naturalist Charles Avenengo will share tips and tidbits about butterflies while participating in the North American Butterfly Association's annual Butterfly Count. The count represents the longest running citizen-scientist butterfly monitoring program in existence. For almost forty years volunteers have collected data from survey sites throughout North America.
