WaterFire is putting a holiday spin on their usual show with Christmas WaterFire on Saturday and Sunday. Water Place Park will transform into a holiday wonderland with family friendly activities, musical performances, a festival of trees and more. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Providence Rescue Mission and help a family in need.

The Fall River Historical Society hosts Deck the Halls, their annual holiday open house at their grand Victorian mansion filled with holiday décor, historical period finery and themed Christmas trees.

The Dickens Christmas Feast at the Newport Art Museum is a holiday celebration and interactive re-telling of A Christmas Carol with song, dance, gaiety and a catered gourmet feast.

Friday

Join Sons of Liberty Distillery in Wakefield for their very first Whiskey Wonderland, as they showcase the best of the best products made right here in Rhode Island. Pick out your favorites and get some holiday shopping done while you enjoy a complimentary cocktail. There will also be whiskey samplings, food and a barrel tree lighting. Bottoms up!

Hip-Hop Holiday “Santa’s Son” at Everett Stage in Providence is a high energy show of hip-hop dance combined with ballet and original music. The show will reveal the story of Santa’s son, Little Nicky, as he tries to create his own life and not follow in his father’s footsteps.

Help those in need at Whiskey Republic’s Holiday Toy Drive. With every donation you are entered to win a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant. There will be half priced appetizers and drink specials available as well.

Providence Ballet Theatre’s production of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas is playing at Roberts Hall at Rhode Island College. The show is packed with professional dancers, local children and magical holiday goodness like sugar plums, glistening snow and an appearance from Santa Claus.

The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra is coming to Providence for their Holiday Pops Tour. Head over to the Providence Performing Arts Center and hear the orchestra play old and new Christmas songs along with a visit from Santa!

Saturday

Donny and Marie, America’s beloved sibling entertainers, are bringing holiday cheer to the Dunkin Donuts Center for Christmas in Providence. Enjoy holiday songs and a fun look back at their early television specials.

Get in the holiday spirit with a taste of Italy! The Federal Hill Christmas Stroll will begin with a Christmas tree lighting at St. John’s Park. The evening will carry on with Italian and English Christmas Carols at various locations on the hill, visits with Santa, face painting, storytellers and an array of dinner specials and holiday goodies.

The French in Newport Walking Tour will bring you through the City by the Sea as you explore the area and learn about 18th century and the American Revolution. Hear stories about the Revolutionary war and how the French contribution made a major impact on American independence.

Greenvale Vineyards hosts Warm Up for the Holidays, a celebration of the season offering wine tastings and local food samplings accompanied by live jazz. Also, take a vineyard tour and learn all about where your wine is coming from.

Sunday

Jaime Hyneman and Adam Savage from MythBusters are coming to Providence Performing Arts Center for The Behind the Myths Tour. As an audience member you will come face to face with the curious world of the MythBusters and their mind twisting take on science experiments. They might even ask you to go on stage and lend a hand!
